The company obtained at full grades the corporate audit required by ABB’s quality office, allowing to participate in the formation courses to achieve the certification necessary to become an ABB Service Partner.

In 2017 GEM Green Energy became a FRONIUS Service Partner. GEM’s technicians have passed with full grades the training requested by FRONIUS, making GEM a qualified and expected partner to replace and perform on-site repairs of string inverters.
The company has satisfied the business audit required by Fronius’ quality office.

GEMLog Monitoring

The monitoring of solar plants in real time, 7 days a week including holidays, allows you to detect the economic, technical, and financial performance of your plant. This allows a timely intervention in case of failure or malfunction, avoiding production losses. The system consists of a low-power hardware appliance, installed in each photovoltaic system capable of acquiring data in a universal way. GEMLog provides a powerful web portal displayable on desktop, tablet and mobile, allowing you to check all the data listed above through the use of a fast and effective interface.

ORDINARY MAINTAINANCE
For the entire duration of the O&M contract, we perform the preventive maintenance of the plant providing all the services necessary to preserve it and ensure the proper operation of the solar panels. GEM proposes its own maintenance services aimed at preserving performance, safety, and prevention of normal deterioration and accidental failures.

EXTRA ORDINARY MAINTAINANCE
The extraordinary mainteinance service allowes the solving of accidental failures and malfunctionings within 48hours.

MT cabin maintenance
  • Cleaning and checking the integrity of the isolators

Extraordinary maintainance

Extraordinary maintenance of a plant means all non-programmable interventions that involve the renewal and / or replacement of its parts, which do not substantially change its performance, but are intended to restore the photovoltaic system itself to ordinary operating conditions, which generally require the use of special instruments or tools, of non-current use and which, in any case, do not fall within the interventions related to the definition of new plants, transformation and expansion of plants and which do not fall within the ordinary maintenance .
These are interventions that, if required by the laws in force, may require the obligation of drafting the project by a qualified professional and that alternatively require a specific technical / professional competence.

Authorisation Management

If the production of electricity from photovoltaic solar energy is carried out in the absence of incentives, and without self-consumption, we introduce the concept of Market-Parity or Generation-Parity.
Basically, the Market-Parity indicates the production of electricity from solar photovoltaic sources in the absence of incentives, implemented by means of multi-megawatt photovoltaic power plants, whose economic value is represented by the value of electricity on the GME power exchange. It therefore indicates the trade-off between the cost of generating photovoltaic kWh LCOE (levelized cost of energy) and the price of electricity on the electricity market.

The energy produced is injected into the network and withdrawn commercially in an indirect withdrawal mode (RiD dedicated withdrawal) from the GSE (Energy Services Manager), which is then valued at the zonal price per hour. Alternatively, the energy produced is sold directly on the electricity market GME (Power Exchange) or purchased by a trader by means of fixed price contracts.

Modules Washing

The mechanical system used for cleaning avoids contact with the panel in order to exclude any risk of abrasion, scratching or rupture of the washed surface hence optimizing the uptake of solar irradiation.
The system used adapts to the needs of each individual system and delivers water at a constant high pressure to be effective at considerable distances. Furthermore, the use of chemical products is strictly excluded for cleaning.
The water used for washing is treated, deprived of the saline component and the dissolved mineral substances. The service includes the thorough cleaning of the glass and its aluminium frames.

Plants Construction

The plants we manufacture are equally distributed both on the roof and on the ground in farmland and quarries. The plants built on the ground are both fixed and monoaxial. Revamping

The revamping is a set of technical and technological updating operations, which can affect both the individual components of the system and the components concerning its safety’s and supervision’s system.
The intervention allows the restoration of the performance of already installed and under-performing photovoltaic systems. This can become necessary for reasons attributable to errors in design or construction, due to serious deficiencies or needed maintenance, wear or damage to critical components due to the ordinary ageing of the installation, or due to major forces.
This process allows the revision and restoration of the original level of performance, which in specific cases can even be improved.

WHEN IS REVAMPING NECESSARY?

The revamping process is effective when the plant is no longer able to operate at its maximum efficiency, or in cases where they are no longer compliant with the regulations in force, CEI 0-21 and CEI 0-16, object of recent revision. Non-compliance with regulations does not only affect old generation plants: even many plants installed in 2010 may not meet the required criteria. Furthermore, revamping is effective in cases where the systems are dated and show frequent breakdowns, perhaps without being under warranty: in these cases, in addition to operational problems, there are also difficulties in finding competent personnel for assistance, and replacement parts.

Bolts Tightening

The control and tightening service of the anchor bolts of the structures and substructures of the photovoltaic panels is also offered. It is advisable to carry out this operation annually due to the continuous stress (wind, snow) to which the structures are subjected. This can lead to a change in the correct inclination of the photovoltaic modules themselves and loss of security.
Tightening of the screws of the structures: visual check of the tightening of the bolts of all the parts of the structures and revision of the tightening of the bolts subject to wear
Renewal of the painting of the structures: whenever the oxidation points need to be checked. The part will be stripped and sanded with sandpaper and repainted with a high anti-rust paint.
Checking the tightness of the electrical connections: all the electrical terminals must be checked without forcing the screws in order to avoid possible breakages, where necessary the terminals must be replaced immediately to avoid hot spots.
